State Senator Jerry Hill, D-San Mateo and Santa Clara Counties, named Stephanie Martinson of Palo Alto the 13th Senate District’s 2018 Woman of the Year. Ms. Martinson is the founder and president of Racing Hearts Foundation, an all-volunteer nonprofit dedicated to the installation of automated external defibrillators in all schools, gyms and other public spaces. The organization has been in the forefront of advocacy that has led to an increase in the deployment of AEDs in Santa Clara County and the greater Peninsula
