On Wednesday, November 18, 2015, the Senate Subcommittee Subcommittee on Gas, Electric and Transportation Safety conducted a hearing to examine what progress electric utilities and state agencies have made toward fireproofing California’s electric grid since the devastating 2007 wildfires that involved power lines and the more forest fires in Lake and Butte counties.
Senator Hill held the hearing as chair of the Senate Energy, Utilities and Communications Committee’s Subcommittee on Gas, Electric and Transportation Safety.
