Sacramento, CA - Assemblymember Jerry Hill, D-San Mateo, was recognized by the California State Sheriffs’ Association (CSSA) as one of their “Outstanding Legislators of 2009.”

CSSA, a leading law enforcement organization in the state representing sheriffs from all 58 counties stated, “The Sheriffs of California appreciate Jerry Hill’s dedication and support for law enforcement and we wanted to take this opportunity to recognize his commitment to public safety.”

Continues Commitment to Solve Budget Crisis Through Shared Sacrifice

San Mateo, CA – Assemblymember Jerry Hill, D-San Mateo, voluntarily reduced his salary today an additional 10% for a cumulative reduction of 20%.

On February 20, 2009, the day the budget was signed, Assemblymember Hill voluntarily reduced his salary by 10% which was consistent with the state employee salary reductions.

Government efficiency and consumer protection bills clear Legislature

Sacramento, CA – Assemblymember Jerry Hill, D-San Mateo, marked the completion of a successful first legislative year by sending ten reforms to the governor.

“I am hopeful that the governor will sign these bills as they produce cost savings through government efficiency and provide improved consumer protection,” said Assemblymember Hill.

San Mateo County resolution used as model for state

Sacramento - Assemblymember Jerry Hill, D-San Mateo, announced today the approval by the state Legislature of the Children’s Bill of Rights, a resolution supporting fair treatment of and investment in California’s youth.

AB 1397 updates law to meet technological advances

Sacramento - Assemblymember Jerry Hill, D-San Mateo, announced today unanimous approval by the state Legislature of AB 1397, a bill that will allow couples with an HIV or HTLV positive partner to use assisted reproductive technology to have children without the risk associated with unassisted conception.
