State Senator Jerry Hill honors Reserve Officer Alex Volokitin as a Community Hero for 25 years of volunteer service to the community of Foster City and its Police Department. During those years, Mr. Volokitin has volunteered his services at each of Foster City's Fourth of July celebrations and Art & Wine Festivals, now know as cityFEST. He also has served numerous hours on patrol as a Level 1, solo police officer, and has provided his services at places such as the Peninsula Sinai Congregation and the Peninsula Jewish Community Center during times of heightened security. In praising Mr. Volokitin's quarter century of volunteer service, Senator Hill noted that that reserve officer demonstrated again and again his commitment to the community by responding to numerous emergencies throughout the years at a moments notice. -- Foster City, May 18, 2018.
