“The Bay Area is connected by more than just BART, Caltrain, and AC Transit, we’re connected by issues such as housing, homelessness, transportation, and environmental protection that affect us all and benefit from a regional, problem-solving approach,” said Becker.  “It’s really an honor to be chosen by the other 25 members of BALC to help lead it over for the next two years and I’m really looking forward to seeing what we can accomplish for the region.”

The 26-member BALC works together to organize and support Bay Area priorities in the Legislature, both to ensure the region receives parity and equity when it comes to state funding and focus on issues unique and important to the region.
