Senator Becker and Assemblymember Berman host Community Meeting on El Camino Real (SR-82) Rehabilitation Project

Mountain View, CA – Today Senator Josh Becker (D- Menlo Park) and Assemblymember Marc Berman (D-Menlo Park) hosted a community meeting with the California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) and community leaders to provide an update on the status of El Camino Real roadway improvements. Senator Becker and Assemblymember Berman met with representatives from Caltrans and discussed pothole repair, the upcoming pavement rehabilitation project, and other topics. Staff from the Cities of Mountain View, Los Altos and Palo Alto were also on hand to answer questions.

“I am grateful that the community had the long-overdue opportunity to have a robust discussion about the critical El Camino Real Rehabilitation project, and to hear directly from Caltrans about the status. I remain committed to coordinating with Senator Becker to advocate for our constituents who rely on this essential arterial,” said Assemblymember Marc Berman. “My constituents’ safety is my top priority and I will be following the progress very closely until this project is complete. Thank you to staff from Caltrans, Mountain View, Los Altos, and Palo Alto for participating.”
