Congratulating JobTrain on Plans to Build a New Center in East Palo Alto

Working since 1965 to provide job training and support services for career development, JobTrain will receive $5 million in state funding to help build a new Economic Mobility Center in East Palo Alto. The allocation is part of $18.3 million in funding for Peninsula projects and programs contained in a budget trailer bill signed by Governor Newsom on July 12. The Legislature passed the trailer bill on June 28, prompting JobTrain to celebrate the support two days later during its first in-person career fair since the pandemic.
