SACRAMENTO - As the California State Assembly Appropriations Committee passed legislation to limit openly carrying firearms in public places, results from a national survey were released indicating the public’s serious discomfort with the practice.

Assembly Bill 1934 would prohibit openly carrying handguns in public places.

Collaboration with California Dental Association served over 200

San Mateo, CA – Assemblymember Jerry Hill (D-San Mateo) co-hosted a free dental screening clinic for more than 200 pre-kindergarten and kindergarten students at Spruce Elementary School in South San Francisco on Friday, March 5.

Approximately 100 pre-kindergarten students and 110 kindergarten students had their teeth checked for signs of decay and were given lessons on proper brushing and flossing techniques.

Sacramento, CA - Assemblymember Jerry Hill, D-San Mateo, was recognized by the California State Sheriffs’ Association (CSSA) as one of their “Outstanding Legislators of 2009.”

Continues Commitment to Solve Budget Crisis Through Shared Sacrifice

San Mateo, CA – Assemblymember Jerry Hill, D-San Mateo, voluntarily reduced his salary today an additional 10% for a cumulative reduction of 20%.

On February 20, 2009, the day the budget was signed, Assemblymember Hill voluntarily reduced his salary by 10% which was consistent with the state employee salary reductions.
